Well I'll Be Darned

This happened quite a while ago. Last year in fact. But it never fails to bring a smile to my face whenever I think about it.

Conversation at school:
KC: I was so out of it today that I was brushing my teeth and doing my hair at the same time!
JB: So what would happen if you used your toothpaste to do your hair and your gel to brush your teeth? ...Minty fresh hair...
Me: And teeth with extra strong hold! Or...wet look teeth?

Hmm. So it turns out that hair gel IS a good investment after all. Much better than toothpaste is at any rate, since it does the job of the toothpaste too. I mean, who'd want 'minty-fresh hair'?

Another episode would be just before our mock exams:
JB: For my exam[Building and Construction], I get to build a brick wall and then knock it down!
KC: For my exam[Cooking], I get to bake a mud cake!
Me: Ooh, care to let us try your exam?
KC: But we're not allowed to eat the brick walls...
...of the mud cake I hope, KC. XD

I find it ironic that we were taking about mud and bricks in the same sentence, even though we were talking about two completely different subjects. Does anyone else find this weird?

I'm gonna miss all this when I get to uni. I mean, who am I going to have these memory-making conversations with now??

Time Management

The one thing I am currently lacking in.
I got back to school on the 7th of February, for reasons which I will not release to the general public (if I told you personally, then you should know), instead of the 4th.

And I am amazed.

Completely amazed.

First of all, I started off rather smoothly, no one badgered me too much about my absence, and teachers were really nice about helping me to catch up on what I missed.
What completely killed me was how much I had to catch up on for the first three days of the school year.
As it is, I already have:
-A Political and Legal Studies project which contributes to 5% of the year grade.
-A gazillion History questions to answer and a nice big essay.
-Almost 200 pages to read and understand in English Literature.
-A chapter quiz in Chemistry as well as answering all the questions in that particular chapter.

And I am just ready to break down and cry...

I don't mind doing the work, I honestly don't, but having to deal with so much at once is absolutely crushing. In addition to that, I have to work on Saturdays, and I am not so willing to give up the job unless it realy kills me grades to keep my job. I like this job, and being able to work there is such a break from school work, even IF I'm on my feet for close to 8 hours. =P

Still, I'm just gonna keep thinking of the day all this work finally gets me somewhere...
