Fairies

Fairies are such pretty creatures...
And that's exactly what I dressed up as on the 29th of December 2007! XD
The A$30 million Megadraw was on that night and my job at the newsagency [The Lucky Charm Newagency] is to sell lottery tickets! Of course, 30 million is a big thing. That's 7 zeros! Loads of cash. Invest it properly, and it could turn you into a billionare in 10 years.
So my colleagues and I decided that we would dress up as fairies and try to grant everyone's wish of winning lotto (mind you, not that we can give out that much luck) as well as attract other non-lotto playing citizens in the mall to laugh at us and hopefully buy something after our efforts of dressing up.

I can assure you we were most readily laughed at.

I walked in at 8.30am with my wings pinned on to my shirt (because it was too small for me to actually wear) and literally RAN in from the entrance all the way to my shop. But not before the supermarket cashiers, keymaker and asian bakery saw me and thought I was mad. O.O
One of my friends may have been slightly crazier than I was. She went all the way, bought a tiny fairy dress intended for 8 year olds at Red Dot (this store that sells the most random things ever) and cut it up so it would fit her (she's an entire head taller than I am), put a shirt on top of it, added glitter to her face, star stickers to her arms and a butterly clasp to her hair and voila! Thus completing her airy fairy look. The rest of us merely donned a pair of jeans and pink/white shirt and a pair of wings, but she was pretty much the star of the whole show. =)

Of course, I posted this up on my status thing on Facebook (if you guys still don't know that I have Facebook then you're in serious trouble, I didn't put that thingy there for nothing) and Tash remembered that our friend Robin dressed as a pirate for his job and combined the two! Thus creating a Fairy Pirate! Ray seconded the idea and we now have cemented the whole 'Fairy Pirate' idea. I can't stop laughing, but if I can stop for a second and convince Robin to actually do it with me, it would be perfect! For the next party that is. =) Best done with a billion other people dressing as something ridiculous. XD

Anyone up for a house party?
